Places to eat out
There are many excellent restaurants and bars in Gourdon. Here are a few suggestions. During the season it is sensible to book ahead, particularly at the weekend. Our region with its clay-limestone stony soil is one where the roots of the vines, like those of the truffle oaks, find just what they need to produce great local wines from rich red Cahors to lighter wines from rosé to cabernet franc, syrah and chardonnay. Local specialities include truffles, foie gras, confits de canard, walnut tart and much more!
